After graduating from college, Bryan Brown played semi-pro football in Germany for a year. When he returned home, a few of his friends started working at a mortgage company. The fact that they achieved success with little to no experience in the industry made the job appeal to him. He joined them at the company, and 19 years later, he’s still excited about his career.
Brown, branch manager of Guaranteed Rate, oversees a team of loan officers and a processing staff, always leading by example to help them maximize their potential. Known for being responsive, acting professionally and offering incredible rates, he begins every client relationship with a preparation call to get to know the person on a personal level and set expectations. He also utilizes that time to gain a better understanding of how a mortgage will fit into their overall financial picture.
“I go out of my way to make sure the refinance or purchase loan is the right fit for my clients’ short-term and long-term financial goals,” Brown says. “I often present the terms to a client and recommend they consult with their financial advisor before committing.” In 2020, he added some “incredible new people” to his team and helped more families close loans than ever before, while maintaining high customer satisfaction scores and not sacrificing time with his wife and children.
Among Guaranteed Rate’s top 1% of mortgage originators nationwide, Brown has maintained President’s Club status since 2012 and last year received the company’s Chairman’s Circle award. He is also a member of the Hopkinton BNI chapter, Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce, Hopkinton Economic Development Committee, MetroWest Divorce Professionals group and Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of Commerce. Coming up, he plans to expand his comfort zone and start a podcast.
