Developers broke ground on Spring Rock Village, an affordable rental development in Brewster.

A collaboration between the Town of Brewster and nonprofits Housing Assistance and Preservation of Affordable Housing, Spring Rock Village will offer rentals reserved for those earning up to 80% area median income.

Once completed in the second half of 2027, the community will feature 15 one-bedroom, 25 two-bedroom and five three-bedroom units across five buildings, as well as a central management building, bicycle storage and an on-site wastewater treatment facility.

Developers plan to preserve a 16-acre woodland habitat around the property and describe the architectural style of the development’s buildings as “traditional Cape Cod.”

“Cape Cod has so much to offer families looking for a place to call home,” said Rep. Bill Keating, who attended the groundbreaking ceremony, “But for many, finding affordable housing remains a challenge. Spring Rock Village is helping address that need in Brewster. While the Cape is known for seasonal tourism, we must continue to support the year-round residents who make our communities work and ensure that families who want to build their future here can do so.”
