While working in the financial sector of home construction, Anne Kennedy and her husband, a general contractor, purchased, remodeled and sold several homes together. The natural progression was for her to work in real estate. “My father, Ted, was an entrepreneur and instilled in us the value of land,” Kennedy remembers. “He would say, ‘Buy land and invest in property; they’re not making any more land, so it will always be a valuable asset.’”
A real estate professional with Coldwell Banker Realty, Kennedy represents clients throughout Newton, Brookline, Needham and Greater Boston. Known for her vast knowledge of home construction, meticulous attention to detail and steadfast client advocacy, she exemplifies a client-centered approach — one shaped early on through her upbringing in her family’s hospitality business. Referrals from past clients are Kennedy’s most valued endorsement.
A recipient of the Coldwell Banker International President’s Elite award, Kennedy also has been named a top producer by Boston magazine and one of America’s best real estate agents by RealTrends. Leveraging the power of social media, she posts “Friday Focus” videos. “I want consumers to know what is happening in the market and what I am seeing at open houses,” she explains. “I discuss important considerations such as home inspections and the value of being preapproved before shopping for a home.”
An avid supporter of the Irish Cultural Centre of Greater Boston, the Irish Pastoral Centre of Boston, the Newton Food Pantry and local schools, she also donates a portion of every transaction directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. When not working, she enjoys doing Pilates, cooking, genealogy, reading, solving crossword puzzles and listening to podcasts.
