Andrew McKinney is a broker with 13 years of real estate experience in the Boston area. Before real estate, he worked as an attorney in civil litigation. During that time, he become interested in real estate, initially offering legal representation but soon transitioning into broker work. “Once I started, I loved it and haven’t looked back since,” he says. Still, he puts to use in real estate the client advocacy, communication, negotiation and analysis skills he developed as a lawyer, in addition to the business skills honed while earning his MBA.
Despite these challenging times, McKinney last year closed more than 50 transactions and upward of $38 million in sales, making 2020 the best year of his 13-year career. “I never expected this, particularly once the pandemic began,” he says. McKinney represents buyers and sellers of all market segments in Greater Boston. “My clients know I work my heart out for them and always put their needs first,” he says. “I strive to be as accessible as possible as I guide them through the process.” Most of his clients come from referrals and online reviews. It helps that McKinney is extremely familiar with the communities in which he sells, having grown up in the Boston suburbs and lived in the South End for over 15 years.
After 11 years with the same brokerage, McKinney last year moved to Donnelly + Co., a boutique firm in Boston’s Back Bay. The change enabled him to offer seller services in addition to buyer services, previously his sole focus. Representing both buyers and sellers allows him to best serve his growing list of loyal clients.
A fitness enthusiast and former competitive tennis player and instructor, McKinney loves to work out in his free time.
