Alice Sahakian’s interest in real estate began early on. Her parents owned multifamily properties, which gave her a foundational understanding of construction, renovation and property management. Sahakian, an award-winning Realtor with Century 21 North East, engaged in all aspects of the business, from hiring contractors and managing properties to drafting leases and maintaining tenant relationships.
“While managing our local family business, I became a licensed agent,” she says. “I used my daily interactions with customers as an opportunity to build a strong sphere of influence. It helped me develop a loyal client base who knew me both personally and professionally.”
After managing the business for the final 20 years of its 58-year history, she transitioned to becoming a full-time Realtor. Twelve years later, she remains energized by her work in real estate.
“Communication is key,” Sahakian says. “While I provide a guide to all prospective buyers, I prefer to begin with a conversation to better understand their goals and outline the process.” For prospective sellers, she takes the time to understand if they need more comprehensive services that go beyond a selling agent. Additional services she can provide include estate sales, home cleanouts and staging.
