Boston Agent magazine’s top 10 Who’s Who profiles of 2021

by Liz Hughes

The past year proved that Boston real estate professionals can not only adapt to a changing market, but thrive. So it’s no surprise that 2021 was a record year for Boston Agent’s Who’s Who. More than 100 people participated in the annual tradition. And of those many industry heavyweights, some profiles experienced extremely high readership. Check them out below.

No. 10: Ryan Acone

Ryan Acone, managing partner at EVO Real Estate Group, gained invaluable sales experience in his previous career as a logistics broker, working in an industry he describes as extremely demanding and cutthroat. “It was a tremendous experience to start my career,” he says. “I not only learned critical sales techniques, but also how to run my own book of business.”

No. 9: Rabiah H Akar

The distinction between a good Realtor and a great one is trust and connection, tenets that have shaped Rabiah H. Akar of William Raveis Real Estate into a rare jewel. After a successful career driving sales for high-end jewelry brands like David Yurman, the New England native and Newton resident made the decision years ago to pivot to real estate.

No. 8: Genevieve Botelho

Genevieve Botelho became fascinated with real estate at a young age thanks to her grandfather, a top-producing Realtor in New Jersey. As an adult, she finds the fascination continuing to grow.

No. 7: The Barber Real Estate Group

The Barber Real Estate Group, William Raveis, with their combined talents and in-depth knowledge of the real estate market is ready to assist clients every step of the way when buying or selling their home.

No. 6: Ashley K Bernon

Ashley K. Bernon joined the Law Offices of Sonja B. Selami as director of marketing and client relations three years ago. Her goal was to raise the firm’s profile and grow its client base in the Greater Boston market. Since then, it’s been named the top real estate law firm on Modern Luxury’s Luxe List. Bernon later was instrumental in landing the firm’s largest closing, a client’s condo purchase in the new One Dalton luxury building.

No. 5: The Collaborative Companies Team

As the Boston skyline continues to grow, The Collaborative Companies (TCC) of Boston plays a demonstrable role in supporting and enabling that change and growth. Within the TCC family of high-producing pros, four key standouts are Jenny Chen Robertson, sales coordinator; Michael Moynihan, sales executive and director of business development; Shannon Lavin, sales executive; and Patrick Cutter, sales director. Their backgrounds are diverse, but they have unified vision and execution on every goal.

No. 4: Kim Mello

Clients always come first. This is the golden rule that Kim Mello has followed ever since she became a loan officer over 20 years ago. Throughout the years, she has helped countless families with their financial goals and needs. With repeat borrowers and referrals always emailing and calling, she’s built a loyal network that knows she’ll get the job done quickly, efficiently and with a personal flair.

No. 3: Kristin Gennetti

Malden native and second-generation Realtor Kristin Gennetti has a special background, having essentially “grown up” with her suburban Boston community. She has witnessed Malden’s recent transformation from a shuttered downtown into a renewed and bustling dining and gaming destination. Contributing to this transformation, Gennetti turned her vision into a reality, successfully opening a boutique real estate office in the heart of the downtown area while leading and mentoring new and seasoned agents.

No. 2: Ricky Beliveau

While a student at Northeastern University, Ricky Beliveau took a real estate finance class that opened his eyes to the opportunities available in real estate investing and development. Beliveau, owner of Volnay Capital and Volnay Management and a partner in the EVO Real Estate Group, has worked in the industry for 11 years. His firms develop both for-rent and for-sale properties in and around the Boston area.

Specializing in buyers, sellers and investors in the Boston and Greater Boston markets, Webb is a recent addition to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Warren Residential and has built almost her entire client base through constant networking. “There is an opportunity with every person you meet, and from there the opportunities are truly endless,” she says.
