What was your first job in the realty industry? I was a buyer agent for a couple of top-producing realtors. I started in January, always a good time to be driving-for-dollars.
Where did you grow up? My formative years were spent in the Chair City, Gardner, MA. I grew up at UMass Amherst.
Growing up, what did you want to be? I can put a fence post in the ground and it will sprout leaves, so I wanted to be a landscaper or landscape architect.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Walk the dog with rap music in the ear buds
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Definitely Socrates. He was an incredible teacher and I’m sure I could learn a few things from him.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? Lavender in Sudbury
What do you love most about the industry? The only thing that is constant is change. That gives me the rush. Start running the moment you get up.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I personalize real estate services to align with my client’s values, lifestyle and specific needs
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? In the words of my Granny, “there’s many a slip between the cup and the lip.” Just when you think you’ve seen it all, something comes out of left field and you have to scramble.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Volunteer opportunities, community outreach, cooking lessons and clubs
What has been your greatest accomplishment? A few years ago I switched agencies, a very difficult decision, and my goal was to hit sales of $10 million within five years. I did it in four.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I just saw “In the Heart of the Sea,” the story behind “Moby Dick.” It was terrific.
What is your favorite restaurant? That’s a tough one. I would have to say Coach Grill in Wayland. Fantastic food and drinks, but it blows the budget every time.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston? It’s not a building, but I love the Zakim Bridge. It has absolute unity and absolute diversity, Hogarth’s definition of beauty.
What kind of car do you drive? A Mercedes-Benz

What is your favorite city after Boston? In the U.S. it’s NYC. Anything you want any time of the day. In Europe it’s Rome. In Asia it’s Bangkok.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Don’t lie, but you don’t have to tell the complete truth.
What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? OK Google. Haven’t stumped it yet.
