Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Brockton, Massachusetts.

What was your most interesting job before going into lending?
I worked in the 5-gallon water jugs delivery business! 

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I take ice baths. 

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
There are hundreds of questions I’d love to ask Mike Tyson with no cameras around. 

Where is Boston’s best-kept secret?
Everyone should check out Improv Asylum in the North End.

What do you love most about the industry?
You learn that people come from all walks of life. 

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I’ve been enjoying the Jury Duty TV series on Amazon Prime. 

What’s your favorite meal in Boston?
Anything at Mamma Maria’s. 

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston?
The Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum feels like you’re in Venice.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
You end up knowing intimate details about strangers like divorces, lawsuits, gambling habits, business failures, affairs, inheritance fights, IRS issues and more.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I got my start in the mortgage industry in Hawaii, and it kept me living there for 18 years. 

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
Hawaii is the best place on the planet.

Find a mentor who is willing to coach you.
