What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I worked as a social worker assisting people with disabilities.

Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Dorchester.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Take deep breaths, pray and rest!

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would love to meet Sac’hem Chickataubut, as he was the principal chief of the Massachusett. It’s important to know our history and never forget the native people of the Massachusett.

What is Boston’s best-kept secret?
Hmm, maybe I’ll keep that one a secret. Just kidding, it’s Oasis Vegan Veggie Parlor. If you know you know!

What do you love most about the industry?
I love seeing renters’ growth and transformation as they become homeowners. With great power comes great responsibility and wealth.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
Community is at the heart of everything I do. I am the first and only Boston-based paid partner for Abundant Housing Massachusetts, a statewide nonprofit that believes housing is a human right. I am also a vendor for the City of Boston, serve on the board of Fields Corner Main Streets and sit on the city’s community safety and quality-of-life task force.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is having my son. He’s given me the purpose to dream big and create a world worth living.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston?
So many to choose from! I’m loving the James Blake House in Dorchester.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
There is nothing wrong with having more than one job!
