Sarah Mooradian is a vice president with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices – Warren Residential in Boston

Number of years in real estate: Seven

Describe your look: Professional but approachable, sometimes with a pop of color and sometimes with a neutral palette – but always practical.

What do you consider a “fashion don’t”? Stiletto heels on Boston’s cobblestone/brick sidewalks – be kind to your ankles ladies!

What is your favorite piece of clothing and why? I have a wonderful lightweight green cargo jacket that is perfect for layering and can be dressed up or dressed down. I bought it years ago in Europe, and now wish I had purchased one blue, too!

What do you consider a must-have accessory? A good pair of sunglasses! I love my Ray-Bans, and always make sure I have them with me.

Where are your favorite places to shop? I don’t always have a ton of time to shop, so I’m guilty of just running across the street from my office to pop into H&M or Nordstrom Rack; but, I am a big fan of J Crew, Madewell, Zara and Anthropologie. I’m a proponent of investing in good, quality basics and spending more practically on some fun pieces.

What, besides your wardrobe, completes your look? I never underestimate the power of a friendly face. So many of us are rushing from A to B – and I am 100 percent guilty of it, too – but I try to do so with a friendly disposition, which I do think makes a difference, small as it may be.

What is in your bag/briefcase? Usually plenty of keys, my cell phone (if not in hand), sunglasses (if not on my face) and lipstick/chapstick of some kind. I am a fan of the long-lasting new lip stains that have come out, my favorite thus far is No. 13 by Sephora.

My closet is full of…pops of color and stripes. Seriously, I must own every variable possible in striped shirts!

What is your style advice for other people in the industry? Wear what you are comfortable in and layer up. Our job requires lots of running around, and that means comfortable shoes are a must. There are also some days that I am out of the house at 8 a.m. and not back until 9:30 p.m., that means I’ve got to have layers with me so I’m not sweltering at mid-day or freezing once the sun goes down.
