Founded on the belief that real estate for older adults should be compassionate, coordinated and deeply human, The Dovetail Group at eXp Realty combines the complementary backgrounds of Erin DiCarlo and Michelle McNall to serve seniors and their families across Greater Boston and beyond.

DiCarlo, founder of Dovetail Companies, entered real estate with over a decade of experience in elder care, enabling her to guide families through complex, emotionally charged transitions. Her experience with senior living providers and caregiving shaped her mission-driven approach to selling a longtime home as a life event. Her holistic model aligns real estate, move management and care-focused advocacy.

McNall, a director of real estate services and Seniors Real Estate Specialist, partners with DiCarlo to collaboratively manage clients. A lifelong Massachusetts resident with an extensive background in eldercare and nearly a decade of real estate experience — including expertise as a relocation specialist — she’s known for her steady guidance, compassion and ability to put clients at ease.

The duo specializes in helping older adults, estates and multigenerational families navigate rightsizing, senior living transitions and home sales throughout Greater Boston, the North Shore, Cape Ann, Middlesex, the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire. Most of their business comes from referrals from past clients and trusted professional partners.

DiCarlo has developed specialized training that provides Realtors with practical tools, transition frameworks and communication strategies to support seniors embarking on later-life real estate transitions. This work supports The Dovetail Group’s mission to expand access to skilled, senior-focused representation while elevating standards of care throughout the industry.
