Teresa Tanner Roth has had a passion for real estate since childhood. Her father was a builder who constructed stick-built and modular homes in their hometown of Weymouth. She spent many nights helping him design year-round and summer homes, which taught her how to structure a house to be user-friendly for the people living there.
“Every nine years, Dad built a new house, and we moved,” recalls Roth, now a broker with Jack Conway. “So I also helped design the homes to make sure my mother would fall in love with the next house that he was building.”
While her passion for real estate started early, Roth didn’t immediately pursue this interest, working as a schoolteacher, in the telecom industry and as a massage therapist. Although she still has a massage therapy practice, her disappointment with her real estate agent ultimately motivated her to become a broker.
“The two major commitments in your life are getting married and buying a home,” Roth explains. “You really need to have someone in your corner helping you make the right decision.” After 18 years, she is still happy with her career choice. “The ability to help someone find their happy home is a beautiful gift,” she shares. “I’m very grateful to be part of it.”
A Pembroke resident, Roth represents buyers and sellers throughout the South Shore. She feels honored when massage clients refer buyers and sellers to her, knowing that she will have their best interests in mind.
“I try to keep clients from being overwhelmed and stressed, to focus on the process while seeing the endgame … an amazing home to start their future in,” Roth says. “I am truly blessed with this career.”
