With more than two decades of experience navigating markets from the 2008 financial crisis to today’s high-rate, low-inventory environment, Shant Banosian operates with a decisive, strategic focus on results. A chance conversation after college sparked a career rooted in discipline, adaptability and execution at the highest level.
Licensed in all 50 states, Banosian entered the mortgage industry in 2002 after graduating from Bentley College. While working directly with families pursuing homeownership, he realized that mortgages are the foundation of the American Dream.
In 2008, while much of the industry was retreating amid the financial crisis and uncertainty dominated the market, Banosian opened his own office, becoming a steady presence for clients navigating one of the most challenging housing environments in history. That period reinforced his belief that leadership requires showing up when it is hard, educating borrowers clearly and finding solutions when others see obstacles.
Known for his speed and precision, Banosian ensures fast approvals and meticulous execution. Over the past 22 years, he has funded more than $10 billion in loan volume and closed over 40,000 loans. At the same time, his hands-on team is closely connected to buyers’ and agents’ real-world challenges. As a result, referrals from agents, past clients and relocation partners drive the majority of his business.
Banosian is a member of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors and has won numerous awards throughout his career, including multiple No. 1 rankings with Rate, Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive Magazine.
When he isn’t working, Banosian prioritizes family life with his wife and three daughters. In addition, he supports organizations such as the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Children’s Hospital, The Greater Boston Food Bank and the Rate Foundation.
