2026 Who's Who in Boston Real Estate

Christopher J. Roche, Partner & Director of Lending

Crowd Lending, Inc.

Discipline, clarity and certainty define how Christopher J. Roche approaches private lending. Having entered the industry during the 2008 financial crisis, Roche learned his craft in one of the most volatile markets in modern real estate history — an experience that shapes his conservative underwriting philosophy and relationship-driven approach. Today, he serves as partner and director of lending at Crowd Lending Inc., where he focuses on investor-centered financing solutions across Greater Boston and select New England markets.

Born and raised in Boston, Roche brings a lifelong, street-level understanding of the region’s neighborhoods, regulations and development dynamics. Before transitioning into real estate finance, he worked in government and politics, gaining insight into zoning, municipal processes and policy considerations that continue to inform his lending strategies. That background allows him to help investors navigate complex, time-sensitive transactions with speed and confidence.

Roche specializes in fix-and-flip loans, bridge financing, short-term capital solutions and creative lending structures for value-add operators, developers and builders. Clients consistently describe him as responsive, knowledgeable and steady under pressure, noting his ability to set clear expectations and remain directly involved from initial conversation through closing. Much of his business is referral-based, built on repeat borrowers and long-term professional relationships.

Roche is deeply involved in community and charitable initiatives. He has organized an annual toy drive in partnership with the Boston Police Department, has supported the Charlestown Boys & Girls Club and has served on the Ryan “DUCE” Morrissey Scholarship & Golf Committee. He is also active within Boston’s recovery community. He lives in the Boston area with his wife, Tina, and their children.
