It’s funny how fate sometimes leads people to a life they never imagined. For Zahidul Islam, the door to a real estate career opened when someone crashed into his car.
“In 2018, I received a call from a local police officer informing me that my parked car [had been] hit and that I had to come outside,” Islam remembers. “As soon as I stepped out, the conversation strayed from my car to my aspirations. I had been working in a grocery store since 2001, but I was looking to step into a new profession. He immediately recommended that I enter the real estate business, as he was able to recognize my ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, similar to his mother, who was also in this field.”
Islam took the suggestion and has been working in real estate ever since. Given his innate curiosity about home improvement and his instinct to learn as much as he could about the topic for his own home, he built a strong skill set that he has applied to his work as a Realtor. Throughout his career, he has used these skills to prepare sellers’ homes for the market and show potential buyers the possibilities that each property offers.
Islam’s commitment to providing top-notch customer service has led to industry recognition. Among other accolades, he recently became a three-time winner of Cameron Prestige’s Buyer’s Agent of the Year honor. Clients describe him as professional, knowledgeable, highly responsive and possessing strong market insights. He takes pride in being communicative and available.
In 2025, Islam achieved a personal goal of investing in a multi-unit property. He enjoys travelling, especially when it involves driving. He stays active by playing badminton and unwinds by gardening.
