2026 Who's Who in Boston Real Estate

Sarkis Kavlakian, Adjunct Professor of Real Estate

Suffolk University

In an industry often defined by transactions and timing, Sarkis Kavlakian distinguishes himself through people-first decision-making and experience. Raised in the Greater Boston markets he now serves, he gained early exposure to development by working alongside his father, a real estate developer, absorbing firsthand knowledge of job sites, deal structures and local market dynamics.

This foundation led Kavlakian to pursue licensure, carving out a professional path defined by multifamily, mixed-use and commercial real estate. With over a decade in the industry, he works primarily with developers and investors, bringing calculated, confident guidance to complex and high-pressure transactions. Clients frequently describe him as approachable and reassuring, noting his ability to simplify intricate processes and make major decisions feel manageable.

In the past year, Kavlakian reached two notable milestones. At age 27, he became an adjunct professor of real estate at Suffolk University, where he teaches Real Estate for Entrepreneurs, a course that blends academic frameworks with real-world applications. He intends to further develop the real estate program by expanding curriculum offerings and internships. He also represented both parties in the sale of an automotive-use property in Lynn, one of the highest-priced transactions of its kind in the city’s history.

Beyond production, Kavlakian’s experience extends to brokerage leadership. He previously served as chief operating officer of a large North Shore brokerage, overseeing operations across four offices and supporting more than 45 agents. This experience sharpened his understanding of strategy, growth and organizational structure.

Outside of work, Kavlakian enjoys barbecuing and spending time with loved ones. A confident public speaker, he passionately guides future professionals while giving back to the next generation through teaching and mentorship.
