Doing what is right for clients has guided Andrew Marquis for more than 22 years in the mortgage industry. Known as a leading loan officer in New England and nationally, he has built his career on careful analysis, deep product knowledge and a commitment to creating opportunities for borrowers — even in complex scenarios.
Marquis’s production places him among the top performers in the country. In 2025, Scotsman Guide ranked him as the No. 7 loan originator nationwide after he closed 611 loans totaling more than $418 million in volume. While recognition is meaningful, he measures success by helping clients navigate one of the largest financial decisions of their lives.
Before entering mortgage lending, Marquis worked as an investment advisor, an experience that continues to shape his approach today. He evaluates each borrower’s full financial picture, including their income, long-term goals and time horizon, to recommend mortgage solutions that align with their broader plans. His expertise spans conventional, jumbo, renovation, FHA, VA and specialized loan programs, and he is widely regarded for his ever-growing knowledge of lending guidelines. This knowledge frequently allows him to structure and close loans that others cannot.
A Massachusetts native, Marquis earned his degree in finance and economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is committed to advancing the industry, regularly educating fellow professionals through seminars, continuing education programs and social media.
Community involvement is central to Marquis’s work. He donates $25 from every closed transaction to Friends of Boston’s Homeless, and his contributions now exceed $175,000. He considers this ongoing support his proudest accomplishment.
Marquis lives in Massachusetts with his wife and their two children. Outside of work, he enjoys biking, skiing and following local sports teams.
