Andrew Marquis, Senior Vice President

CrossCountry Mortgage

With 20 years of mortgage industry experience and a background in finance and economics, Andrew Marquis identifies solutions to make homeowners’ dreams come true. A senior vice president at CrossCountry Mortgage, Marquis ranks as one of the top mortgage originators in the country, coming in at No. 7 in Top Dollar Volume and 5th in Purchase Business in the 2021 Scotsman Guide.

As former investment advisor with a degree in business and a concentration in investments, Marquis brings a multifaceted perspective to the table. “I never thought of myself as a salesman, per se, but am strong at explaining and guiding people through a process which has allowed me to excel in mortgage banking,” he explains.

Working predominantly in jumbo lending, Marquis is equally adept at securing conventional, renovation, FHA and VA home loans. “Every transaction is unique, and with each situation being a different challenge, I’m constantly on my toes,” he says. He adds that after two decades in the industry, he knows lending guidelines backward and forward and can address any lending scenario.

In addition to his work at CrossCountry Mortgage, Marquis teaches industry professionals through seminars, social media and continuing education programs, taking pride in the wealth of knowledge he’s able to share with peers.

With every successful transaction, Marquis makes a $25.00 donation to the Friends of Boston Homeless. His total contributions have just surpassed over $100,000 and it is his proudest accomplishment. The foundation, with the help of his contribution, is making great strides to help homeless people and provide them with new opportunities.

Marquis is a husband and father of two. “In this day and age, there are a ton of outside influences and challenges, so to live each day to the fullest for our family is most important and gratifying to me,” he says. “I live locally in Massachusetts, and I am an avid biker/skier and local sports fan, following the Pats, Red Sox, Celts and Bruins.”
