What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I was a controller for an architect and engineering firm in Boston. I did accounting and managed construction-based firms.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up on the North Shore in Saugus. Currently, I live in Lynnfield, where I’ve been for the past 10 years.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Exercise works best for me.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I am so grateful to work for Lyv Realty, but would love to have a conversation with Ryan Serhant someday.

What is Boston’s best-kept secret?
The intelligent, sincere, fun and loyal population. We get a bad wrap around the country, but since the World Cup events went well, everyone can see how exciting we are and how much Boston actually has to offer.

What do you love most about the industry?
I truly love the process from A-Z and get so much gratification from congratulating my clients on closing day.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I am a people pleaser in general and consider myself very empathetic. I truly care about how the process is affecting my clients. I love to ease them and reassure them that no matter what comes up, we will always find a solution. My job really is to make the process smooth and stress-free for them.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Time management is definitely the biggest challenge. Real estate never stops, so I have to find a balance between work and family time and always being available.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Community involvement has been very important to my growing success. I have been told I am “not salesy.” I don’t push myself on people, although let them know I’m qualified and confident.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Completely changing careers at 51 years old has been my greatest accomplishment. I have been licensed since 2013, although I have only been practicing real estate full-time since spring of 2021. Once I decided to leave my corporate benefits and salary behind, I hit the ground running and have increased my business every year.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
My guilty pleasure is realty TV real estate shows! I love seeing all types of homes and the rehab transformations.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston?
I was lucky enough to work for architects and engineers in Boston. One of my favorite projects I was involved in was the transformation of the TD Boston Garden area. I loved seeing the magnificent old buildings brought back to life.

My love for architecture comes from my dad, who built a custom homes and restaurants all over New England.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
My colleagues and other realtors. I love seeing what everyone is doing.
