Specializing in new construction and design, siblings Matthew and Clare Stevens represent the newest generation for their family’s business, Trask Development. The Southboro-based company has been developing, building and selling single-family homes, town homes and condos in the MetroWest area since 1992.

Though their titles are director of sales (Matthew) and customer relations manager (Clare), the Stevens Team has a hand in every aspect of the process, from sourcing the land to closing the transaction. “We only sell products that we build,” Matthew explains. “This means we have an understanding of the product that can only be achieved by being part of the entire development, design and construction process.”

Their home designs lean toward the traditional and transitional, paying homage to the areas in which they build, with a deliberate avoidance of fleeting trends. Says Matthew, “Both Clare and I design each and every home we build. We want someone to walk into a home and feel like they are in a timeless space.”

The Stevenses are quick to credit their extended team for their successes. “We like to take any opportunity we can to recognize the hours and hours of work all of our subcontractors and team members put in behind the scenes to bring our visions to reality,” Matthew shares. “Our success is due to their unwavering commitment to being the best at what they do day in and day out.”

In the last three years, the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston has recognized the Stevens Team, individually and together, with numerous Prism Awards for sales and design. They are especially proud of their 48-home Graystone South Natick community, which not only earned a Prism award for design, but also surpassed sales targets by $10 million.
