Midwood Investment & Development filed a letter of intent with the City of Boston to build a large-scale mixed-use project at the corner of Bromfield and Province streets.

Spanning 97,000 gross square feet, the building would replace four largely vacant commercial buildings. Plans include ground-floor retail spaces and 158 rental units across 16 upper stories. Approximately 31 apartments would be income-restricted.

Current plans do not include parking facilities.

The project will now enter the review phase, following the Article 80B Large Project Review Process.
