Midwood Investment & Development filed a letter of intent with the City of Boston to build a large-scale mixed-use project at the corner of Bromfield and Province streets in the city’s Ladder Blocks neighborhood.

Spanning 97,000 gross square feet, the building would replace four largely vacant commercial buildings. Plans include ground-floor retail spaces and 158 rental units across 16 upper stories. Approximately 31 apartments would be income-restricted.

Current plans do not include parking facilities.

The project will now enter the review phase, following the Article 80B Large Project Review Process.
