2026 Who's Who in Boston Real Estate

Patrick J. Murphy IV, Esq., Real Estate Lawyer

Rogaris Law

The new year brought new beginnings for real estate lawyer Patrick J. Murphy IV, Esq., as he moved his practice to Rogaris Law. Now, in addition to Boston, he does closings in Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. After 23 years of practicing at the same firm, Murphy moved to allow him to be more available to his clients and referral partners.

Growing up in a family of Realtors and loan originators in Belmont, Murphy developed an interest in real estate. Being involved in his family’s multiple properties from Belmont to the South Shore was a way of life. As his interest grew through college, law school and marriage, so did his knowledge of those market areas, as well as the Cape and North Shore.

For 25 years, he has combined his legal acumen with his real estate knowledge and desire to help others as a real estate attorney. Murphy guides clients through complex documents, and issues large and small enroute to closing. “I enjoy working in real estate because people are typically happy that they are buying or selling a home or are saving money with a refinance,” he shares.

As much as he enjoys his work, clients and referral partners enjoy working with him, too. Known for his responsiveness and ability to connect with others, he is never too busy to take or make a call to answer a question or solve a problem, even long after closing. He keeps things simple and injects a little humor into the process, so clients can easily understand what they are agreeing to when they sign.

His three young children and his extensive volunteer commitments to youth sports keep him busy outside of work. He is a Belmont Youth Hockey Association board member who coaches six hockey teams and four lacrosse teams.
