Growing up surrounded by construction sites and blueprints, Matthew and Clare Stevens always knew real estate development was in their future. Their parents, Ben and Rita, built Trask Development from the ground up, instilling in them the value of hard work and commitment. Now, as second-generation developers, the siblings bring that same dedication to every home they build.
With a combined 12 years of experience, Matthew and Clare specialize in new construction and residential development across the western half of the Boston metropolitan area, including Natick, Wellesley, Brookline, Newton, Watertown and Ashland. Their expertise spans large single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes, multifamily properties and mixed-use properties, and they offer buyers thoughtfully designed residences built to the highest standards.
Transparency is at the core of their process. “We take a ‘what you see is what you get’ approach,” Matthew explains. “When you walk into our model homes or design centers, there aren’t any ‘gotchas’ or hidden upgrade costs — we deliberately choose to market our product as all-in offerings. So, when you step into one of our model homes, everything you see is included in the price.”
The duo’s hands-on involvement at every stage is what makes them stand out. “Part of our edge is that there is no middleman when you are buying a Trask home,” Matthew adds. From the initial showing to design meetings and site visits, they guide buyers through every step, ensuring a stress-free process.
Their industry recognition includes PRISM awards in various categories. The duo has been awarded Sales Team of the Year (2021-2023 and 2025), Rising Star of the Year (2021 and 2023) and, this year, the award for Best Merchandising of a Model Home & Best Single-Family Home (6,000-8,000 sf).
