Lending was a calling for Ryan Van Auken, who worked in the finance field after college. He experienced rapid success as he navigated the grind of organic clientele-building but desired a career that was more relational than transactional. “Few things are as important in a person’s life as deciding the home they are going to live and develop their roots in, so having a role in that is something very meaningful and special to me,” he says.
Van Auken’s easy-going nature and accessibility endear his clients to him, with many commenting on how impactful his availability was to them throughout their origination process. “You never know when the dream home is going to come up, and that availability is something I am able to guarantee for all of my clients,” he says. Van Auken’s around-the-clock commitment and investment in his clientele long after the deal is complete are why he’s consistently one of the top producers in his branch despite being the youngest in age and tenure.
Resourceful lending is key to Van Auken’s competitive edge. He enjoys educating clients on the array of options available and takes particular pride in qualifying them for the best possible lending product— even in the most-challenging situations that other lenders may shy away from. His reputation for strategy, thoroughness and extensive product knowledge has allowed him to build a largely referral-based client portfolio.
An active church member and volunteer, Van Auken plays copious amounts of golf and prioritizes faith and family. He and his wife are excited to welcome their first child in May of this year.
