Born and raised in Sudbury, Kimberly Rickman graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2003 and purchased her first property in Worcester. Living where she works has been crucial to her market knowledge and ability to build relationships. She started out in lending, putting her studies in business and economics to good use. After a few years, she longed for a sustainable career that offered more flexibility, excitement, and satisfaction. Upon a few iterations of restoring investment properties, she and her husband both left their full-time jobs and opened their own property management company, Rickman Management.
Rickman continued to consistently double her company’s portfolio of managed properties throughout the 2008 recession and through the ensuing years. In 2012, she opened another division of the company called Rickman Realty to allow her managed clients the opportunity to buy or sell with a familiar face. “When put to a challenge, I do not give up. I power up,” she quips. Now with 11 years of vast, first-hand experience, Rickman has rebranded and developed OWN IT, a 100% Commission Brokerage. Serving all client types in Middlesex and Worcester County, the company offers seasoned Massachusetts agents an entrepreneurial environment that incentivizes self-investment in one’s own growth.
As Broker/Owner of OWN IT, Kimberly is also in production having closed over $20 million in sales in 2022 and has earned Top Producer for the past four years. A member of the National Association of Realtors, Rickman also serves as a member on the Broker Owner Task Force for the Central Massachusetts chapter. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Junior Railers Hockey Club as the Fundraising Director and serves on the Parent/Faculty Advisory for the Bancroft School in Worcester. Heavily involved with the March of Dimes and its mission to fund research, lead programs and educate families in order to improve maternal and infant health, Rickman hosts an Annual Dinner and Casino Night for the charity and has raised more than $40,000 to date.
