As a member of the founding board of directors for the Massachusetts Mortgage Brokers Association, Harry Ogden proved himself as a leader early in his career. He is a 31-year veteran of mortgage lending, and his annual loan volume has earned him a spot on Mortgage Executive Magazine’s list of the top 1% of mortgage originators in America. Despite these accomplishments, Ogden remains humble, insisting that what’s special isn’t what he does, but rather the feeling of pride his clients get when they close on their dream homes.
As a senior loan officer at Draper and Kramer Mortgage’s Lynnfield branch, Ogden consistently provides hands-on service to each of his clients to make every closing a success story. Even with challenging or unconventional situations, he just makes it work. “I explain and set expectations throughout the loan process,” Ogden says. “I do not abandon my clients.” He knows every borrower is unique and makes sure to give them personalized evaluations and suggestions based on their backgrounds, goals and needs.
Ogden has always been interested in the finance industry, which is a big reason behind his passion. Even with the new rules and guidelines that the 2020 market brought, he has shown his flexibility and adaptability to get his clients the home financing they need. Although the mortgage market may change daily, Ogden stays on top of it, so there are limited disruptions during the financing process.
After a successful 2020, in which he closed over $61 million in loans, Ogden plans to continue down the same road he’s been traveling. “I want to bring everyone a service that allows them to take advantage of the market,” he says, “and I want to continue to educate, be consistent and deliver what’s expected of me and more.”
