Stacey Snowdon

Stacey Snowdon
Senior Loan Officer
Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.

Few mortgage professionals can say they got their start in banking, as young as Stacey Snowdon did. At the age of 16, she began working part-time at a local bank, continuing into college and eventually joining the lending department. It was an early introduction to customer service and finance that would shape her career to follow.

As of 2019, Snowdon has been originating mortgages for 17 years. She is a senior loan officer at Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.’s Danvers branch and a consistent top loan producer. Snowdon sees her job as the intersection of her passions. “I enjoy talking with people, providing them with information and helping them achieve goals that make them happy,” she says. “I absolutely love my work!”

Customer service and cooperation are central to Snowdon’s business philosophy. She doesn’t believe in cookie-cutter transactions and works instead to educate each individual client and tailor her financing solutions to their situation and needs. Working closely with her agent and attorney partners is also key to her success.

Snowdon’s proudest achievements are when she helps borrowers who have been turned away by other lenders. “I recently had a real estate agent call me as a transaction fell apart,” Snowdon says. “The lender told the borrowers they ‘could not’ buy the house they were in contract to purchase and to ‘find something else.’ I spoke with the borrowers, took their application and found they were able to obtain a small gift to make the deal work. Now, they’ve closed on their dream home!”

As mortgage rates appear poised to hit new lows, Snowdon looks forward to more busy months and new challenges ahead. “Every day and every transaction is different,” she says. “The problems to solve are never the same, and that is a huge motivator for me.”
