The Umina Group at Lamacchia Realty
As the team lead of The Umina Group at Lamacchia Realty, Darlene Umina finished No. 1 in sales volume out of 200 agents in 2017. She did it again in 2018, with more than $25 million in sales. Those achievements put her in the firm’s President’s Club both years.
Umina focuses on the Metro Boston and MetroWest markets. She mostly serves sell/buy clients whom she describes as upsizers selling their first home and moving into their second, but also works with clients looking to downsize. Her team has mastered ways to make the process smooth and pain-free, from the acceptance of an offer to move-in day.
“My clients would say that my team goes above and beyond and that we are totally committed to accomplishing their goals,” she says. “We walk the walk. This means actually scouting properties, finding those off-market listings that we can get them into, and previewing properties on our time that are potential fits.”
Umina is a member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing and the Greater Boston Association of Realtors. She made Real Trends’ 2018 list of America’s Best Real Estate Professionals and is a Zillow Premier Agent.
Because her brokerage has no office within MetroWest, where she does much of her business, Umina opened her own in Framingham this past year. “It became difficult to work solely out of the Waltham office, even with an office in my home,” she says. “It’s so nice to have our own professional space to meet clients, hold closings, organize our events and serve our community.”
Among their charitable efforts, Umina’s team organized a giving tree drive last year, helping four single mothers struggling with illness or disabilities. “Our goal was to brighten their holidays,” she says.
