Andrew Marquis has over a decade’s worth of real estate experience and has helped more than 5,000 buyers achieve their dreams of homeownership, making him the second most prolific purchase originator in the state of Massachusetts for the past three years. As the vice president of mortgage lending at Guaranteed Rate, Marquis works with clients ranging from first-time homebuyers to investment buyers and prides himself on his knowledge of all available loan programs to best serve his clients. “Mortgages aren’t ‘one size fits all,’” he says, adding that he and his team aim to make the process as stress free and seamless as possible for buyers and their Realtors.

With 55 percent of his business in jumbo lending, Marquis offers his clients access to a variety of options and competitive rates thanks to Guaranteed Rate’s standing as the largest non-bank jumbo lender in the country. “We provide a much easier loan process than our competitors,” he says. Marquis explains that every member of his team has a specific role and are readily accessible regardless of the hour. “This industry isn’t just about numbers,” he says. “It’s about the people. You’re helping them with one of their biggest, most personal purchases — their new home.”

In 2017, Marquis achieved a 10 percent increase in business, a testament to his hard work and dedication. “I am very proud to keep exceeding my volume each year in such a competitive industry,” he says. Since 2015, Marquis has earned membership into Guaranteed Rate’s Chairman Circle, and was recently ranked the No. 5 Mortgage Originator in America by Mortgage Executive magazine.

Marquis is motivated by his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys training for athletic events to benefit charitable causes such as the Pan Mass Challenge.
