Developers have set their sights on a collection of vacant, city-owned lots at the intersection of Parker and Terrace Streets in Mission Hill. Construction began on Mission Hill Pathway, a five-story affordable housing project set to offer 48 homeownership opportunities at the location.
The development team includes Kevin Maguire of Oxbow Urban, Dariela Villon-Maga of DVM Consulting and Jonathan C. Garland of JGE Development, LLC.
ODJ Dev. LLC will sponsor the project.
Over half of the allocated land will be reserved for public use. In addition to affordable homes, the development will offer 2,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, a public park and a community garden with 51 plots.
Mission Hill Pathway residents will use structured parking accessible from Terrace Street.
“Beginning construction on Mission Hill Pathway represents an important milestone for the community and for everyone who has helped shape the project,” said Garland in a press release. “This development reflects a shared commitment to expanding affordable homeownership while creating a sustainable, welcoming and community-centered place that will contribute lasting value to the neighborhood.”
With construction underway, developers anticipate completion by 2028.
