Giving back to others is important to mortgage professional David DeBonis. He believes that doing good things for others attracts good things to oneself, and his career success certainly supports that belief.

A mortgage industry veteran of more than 20 years, DeBonis is ranked among the top mortgage originators in the nation for annual loan volume by trade publications Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive Magazine. He is a top producer at Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp., where he serves as a senior loan officer at the lender’s Danvers branch. In 2021, he closed more than $97 million in home loans while maintaining his exceptional 99% customer satisfaction rating.

When working with his diverse range of borrowers, DeBonis follows the Golden Rule by providing only the advice he would want to receive were he in their shoes. “I take the time to know my clients and the challenges of each transaction before I use my professional judgment to recommend the right solutions,” he says. DeBonis is especially passionate about helping military veterans, and he was the first mortgage originator to close on a MassHousing Operation Welcome Home loan, a special honor that was celebrated at the Statehouse and attended by the governor.

In the year ahead, DeBonis plans to continue growing his loan production, perfecting his level of service and giving back to others whenever and wherever he can.
