Peabody Properties Partners assumes oversight of Lawrence affordable housing portfolio

Peabody Properties Partners has added Lawrence CommunityWorks’ portfolio of affordable housing properties to its growing collection of communities in New England, New Jersey and Florida.

In a press release, Lawrence CommunityWorks cited its struggle to keep up with population surge and growing housing demand in Lawrence as the reason for partnering with Peabody. CommunityWorks has been active in the community for 40 years and has developed or revitalized over 400 affordable local units of housing.

Peabody properties has created affordable housing projects totaling $550 million across its existing markets. Last year, the company oversaw the development of the Residences at St. James and Hawthorne Lofts, both located in Salem.
