What was your most interesting job before going into real estate? I previously worked at McLean Hospital as a mental health counselor for five years. Currently, I’m a high school science/math teacher.
Where did you grow up? East Boston and Winthrop, MA.
Growing up, what did you want to be? An astronaut or an Olympic athlete.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? If the weather is nice I like to go swimming, if not I watch cute/funny animal videos.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Honestly, probably Kobe Bryant. I always admired his work ethic and strong mentality.
What is Boston’s best-kept secret? If you like beer/cider you have to visit Harpoon Brewery in Seaport and Downeast Cider House in East Boston. If you like Italian food check out Reno’s Place in East Boston. If you’re looking for something to do the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics offers free events to the public. The night rooftop observatory is so much fun. You can look out their massive telescope and observe the moon, stars and some planets.
What do you love most about the industry? The flexibility it offers. Whether you’re a full- or part-time agent you can create your own schedule and work from anywhere.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I have a lot of general knowledge that goes beyond the realm of real estate.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Negotiating prices on my client’s behalf, finding property at a reasonable price. The market can be discouraging sometimes.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads? Go to events in your local community and market yourself via social media. Both options are great and you can reach so many people at one time.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? As of right now, the wonderful relationships I’ve made with people throughout the years.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately? I am currently re-watching “Game of Thrones.” I think I’m still in denial about how it ended …
What’s your favorite meal in Boston? Anything Italian.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston? The state house!
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job? Recently I had to interact with an individual who was intoxicated during a showing/open house. Never a dull moment.
What’ s one thing people are surprised to learn about you? My age. People tend to think I’m a lot younger than I actually am.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why? Puerto Rico. It’s absolutely beautiful!
