First phase of Quincy residential community pre-leasing units

by Liz Hughes

A new residential community in Quincy has started pre-leasing units for summer occupancy.

Ashlar Park, developed by FoxRock Properties and managed by Bozzuto, is a five-building apartment community on 15 acres on the site of the former Quincy Medical Center.

The Harbor building is the first in the 465-unit residential community expected to welcome residents in August. It will include 65 apartments and is one of four residential buildings on the site. The other three are expected to be completed in the next year.

The project also includes the adaptive reuse of the former Quincy Medical Center’s historic administration building as the development’s main “amenities hub,” also slated for an August opening.

The units will be a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments with oversized, energy-efficient windows with views of both the Quincy waterfront and Boston skyline. They’ll feature generous closets, smart locks and thermostats, in-unit washers and dryers, wide plank, engineered wood flooring in the kitchens and living rooms, oak kitchen cabinets with ample storage, quartz countertops and ceramic subway tile backsplashes, as well as stainless-steel EnergyStar-rated appliances.

The development also includes first-class, “resort-like” amenities including outdoor lounges, a bocce court, fire pits, outdoor grills and kitchen, a multi-level pool deck and a roof deck lounge. There’s also garage and surface parking for 592 vehicles, a state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio, a clubroom and a coworking space with a library, private offices and conference rooms. Across the 15-acre development residents also have access to winding pathways, lounges and private patios.

The next building on deck is the Skyline building with 132 units expected to be completed in September. That’s followed by the 145-unit Woodland building in October.

The 123-unit Quarry building is the final phase of the project and is expected to be completed in April of 2024.

Ashlar Park’s Skyline building, housing 132 units, will be completed this September and The Woodland building, with 145 units, will be completed in October. The final phase of the project, the 123-unit Quarry building, will be delivered in April 2024.

Ashler Park is located near Wollaston Beach and the Blue Hills Reservation and is a 10-minute walk to the MBTA Red Line station and Quincy Center.
