What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I was a sports anchor for CNN Headline News.
 
Where did you grow up?
St. Petersburg, Florida
 
Growing up, what did you want to be?
A sportscaster all the way
 
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Exercise and play cards. Don’t look now, but I also play backgammon!
 
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
A graduate of Gettysburg College, I’ve always been fascinated with Abraham Lincoln.
 
What is Boston’s best-kept secret?
Vinny’s Ristorante in Somerville has the best fresh takeout marinara.
 
What do you love most about the industry?
I love the challenge of trying to differentiate myself in a field with low barriers to entry.
 
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
As a licensed construction supervisor and home improvement contractor, I’m able to give an added level of service to my clients.
 
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Delegating the less important tasks.
 
What’s your best advice for generating new leads? 
Networking, networking, networking! 
 
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Fulfilling my childhood dream of being a sportscaster.
 
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I just finished watching “Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street” on Netflix and am reading “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow.” Highly recommend both!
 
What’s your favorite meal in Boston?
I really enjoy the Fried Sweet Rice at Brassica.
 
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston?
I feel like the Custom House Tower doesn’t get enough attention/credit.
 
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
While demolishing a multi in Somerville, I discovered an unopened pack of cigarettes from 1941 that was buried in a wall.
 
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I’m the president of the Needham High School Boosters Club. 
 
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
I would have to go with San Diego because the weather there is basically perfect year around.
 
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Find a broker you respect and become a sponge!
 
What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app?
I suppose Zillow so I can be prepared to explain when my opinion of value doesn’t jive with a homeowner’s Zestimate.

@Super70sSports on Twitter and @natureismetal on Instagram are two good ones.

@Needhamsbroker on Instagram and FB is my primary social media channel, but slowly starting to incorporate TikTok, also.
