Agent Snapshot: Seth Quental, Realtor-Associate, Clockhouse Realty

Name: Seth Quental

Job Title: Realtor-Associate

Company: Clockhouse Realty, Inc.

What was your first job in the realty industry? Starting off as a Realtor-Associate, I jumped right on-board with Clockhouse Realty’s rental division helping clients who are looking for luxury rentals/corporate housing in Boston.

Where did you grow up? The small town of Somerset, MA.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? For me, there’s nothing like going to my favorite coffee shop, throwing on some headphones and listening to music while I get work done.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be everything! An astronaut, a professional wrestler, a comedian, a movie star, and a police officer to name a few.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I’d have to say Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Seeing how determined, disciplined, and ambitious he is, is truly inspirational. The fact that he’s accomplished so much throughout his career, from being a pro-wrestler to movie actor/entrepreneur, how could you not want to hang out with this superstar?

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I like to hang out anywhere I feel I can be productive and/or relax and gather my thoughts. Any place with an ocean or city view suits my needs. Seaport!

What do you love most about the industry? I love how there is no monotonous routine and how every day brings new challenges and interactions. Every client I deal with has their own unique story and I find it fascinating. Being my own boss is definitely a bonus too.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Staying organized is absolutely a challenge. It can get really hectic when you have to talk with multiple clients, schedule appointments, follow-up with paperwork, etc. I’ve found that once there is a good system in place, everything runs like a well-oiled machine.

Where do you go to network? Real estate conferences – word of mouth – social media.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? After obtaining my real estate license and immediately starting in the rental division, I’ve closed several deals and am always progressing in my knowledge of the city, and building my interpersonal skills. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? Movie – “Moonlight”, Book – Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”

What is your favorite restaurant? Capriccio in Providence, Rhode Island – I love Italian food!

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston? Has to be Millennium Tower, one of the first skyscrapers you see coming into Boston. Its mass and new design makes it stand out from all the rest.

What kind of car do you drive? A big black truck.

Smartphone or paper? Smartphone – I run my whole business on my smartphone.

What is your favorite city after Boston? Providence, RI

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Be professional, proper, punctual, respectful, courteous and diligent. If you master these standards, you will be a superstar.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Zillow, RECalc, Docusign
