If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Meryl Streep. I admire her in so many ways, but the speech she made at the Golden Globe awards resonates with me and put to words my feelings and fears. Also, Oprah Winfrey, not as much but when she talked about how “we all just want to be fed” – I got it.

What do you love most about the industry? The constant education suits me. I love that you change who you work with every transaction and that each one brings fresh challenges.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I have worked hard to stay informed and connected in real estate. I have been on our local association Board of Directors, our state association Board of Directors and helped start a local Women’s Council of Realtors group, which is strong.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? The ethical, legal and financing challenges that we deal with every day

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? This is funny, but usually Panera. I wear my name badge and try to strike up conversations. Also, town events and my gym.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? It is always a great accomplishment to settle a person/family into a home and feel like you are at the beginning of something special.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? The Big Short

What is your favorite restaurant? The Scarlett Oak Tavern, Hingham, MA

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Boston? The Boston Public Library

Smartphone or paper? I still love paper (right-brained) but for organization it is always smartphone

What is your favorite city after Boston? San Diego

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Go in with your eyes open: plan to work long hours, plan to finance your growth, work hard and continue your education.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Pinergy or my Volvo app with remote start (hey, it’s winter here!)

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? Robert Reich and Jimmy Fallon
