Boston is the best city in the country for startup companies, according to a joint analysis from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, 1776 and Free Enterprise.
“We are at the dawn of an extraordinary technological revolution, and it is transforming every part of the U.S. economy,” the report read. “In major commerce centers, yesterday’s expertise will not guarantee tomorrow’s economic wins.”
Boston is a city of educated and skilled talent, with proven strength in both the young entrepreneur population and investment in new wave startups. Real estate agents hoping to make the leap from contract employee to brokerage owner are positioned well simply by operating in and around the city.
If a weak spot can be found, it is in Boston’s population. Among the top 25, it was ranked No. 20 for population inflow. But even then, it is still among the best in the country.
