Kate Ziegler Romano and Jack Romano launched New Englander Real Estate, an independent residential real estate and property management brokerage.

The husband-and-wife team has a combined $150 million in sales and experience in the Greater Boston area, especially Medfield, Roslindale, West Roxbury, Dedham and Dover.

New Englander’s founders hope to consider expanding across the region, gradually adding agents to the brokerage based on brand fit.

“Launching our brokerage is something that Jack and I have been thinking about for many years, and we’ve always known it was part of our story,” says Kate Ziegler Romano in a press release. “To develop something from the ground up like this has allowed us to extract the best parts of everything we’ve ever done and bring it all to New Englander in a unique and exciting way that will allow us to provide the type of guidance we’d want for our own homes.”

Jack Romano added, “So often the real estate business is about one single transaction, and then it’s done until it’s next time to buy or sell a home. We don’t think of our business as a fleeting transaction. It’s about homes, and nothing is more important or more permanent than your home. It’s your haven, your legacy. The purchase is only the first step, and we want to be there to help take care of you and your home for the decades that follow.”
