Elite Home Builders plans to construct a mixed-income apartment building at 77 Grant Road in Devens, which the company recently purchased from MassDevelopment.

MassDevelopment also provided a $4 million loan toward the project. Dubbed Emerson Green Residences, the apartment building will offer 46 units and a common area with amenities.

The building will be part of the Emerson Green neighborhood developed by NOW Communities, which already includes 35 single-family homes, 20 duplex units and three townhomes.

“Strong communities need housing for people at every stage of life,” said Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll in a press release. “Emerson Green Residences will give more workers and families an affordable place to live while supporting the continued growth of Devens and the surrounding region. We’re proud to partner with MassDevelopment and local leaders to move projects like this forward and create more housing across Massachusetts.”
