Growing up, what did you want to be? A doctor.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I like to take a long walk or a hot bath.
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? That’s a tough one. I would love to have lunch with Ina Garten and see if I could talk her into giving me a cooking lesson!
Where is your favorite place to hang out? Wherever my family is!
What do you love most about the industry? I love that I get to help buyers and sellers navigate one of the most important experiences in their lives. And I really enjoy establishing positive professional relationships with the other agents I get to work with.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I work hard to personalize the process of buying or selling a home, and tailor it to the unique needs and personalities of my clients. And I pride myself on being very responsive and communicative. I like to make sure my buyers and sellers are educated and prepared for every aspect of their transaction, and I’m there for them every step of the way!
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Helping buyers look for homes when the inventory is so painfully low. It’s very emotional and frustrating for everyone when there isn’t a lot to choose from, and bidding on well-priced homes is competitive. I always encourage my buyers to stay positive and to be optimistic and help them find creative solutions when the process seems difficult.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I like to attend education and networking events sponsored by my brokerage and my local real estate board. And I meet new clients everywhere! At school functions, sporting events, even the grocery store!

Smartphone or paper? Smartphone all the way. I try to keep my business as paperless as possible!
What is your favorite city after Boston? Philadelphia. I went to the University of Pennsylvania, so I’ll always have a place in my heart for Philly.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Social.Media.Presence. I can’t tell you how many leads I’ve gotten by staying active and networking on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? Boston Agent magazine, of course! Inman News is informative. And I like to follow other local agents to see what creative ways they are using to market their businesses.
