2026 Who's Who in Boston Real Estate

Adam Kotkin & Jerome Bibuld, Co-Owners & Brokers

Red Tree Real Estate

Growing up in Newton, Adam Kotkin and Jerome Bibuld were surrounded by people who understood the value of real estate, but neither predicted they’d one day build one of Boston’s most distinctive independent brokerages together.

Before his 25 years of experience in the industry, Kotkin obtained his license at age 18 after watching a friend thrive in Brookline’s rental market. At age 17, Bibuld developed experience in automotive sales before real estate friends pushed him into the field. Now, 22 years later, he has no regrets.

Together, Kotkin and Bibuld lead Red Tree Real Estate, covering metro Boston, the North Shore, the South Shore, western Massachusetts and Rhode Island. They work with first-time homebuyers, generational landlords, investors, rental clients and luxury buyers and sellers across single-family homes, condos, multifamily and investment properties.

The duo started the firm in the Allston-Brighton rental market, which gave them a block-by-block command of the city. They’ve since expanded outward and go wherever client opportunities take them. Last year, Red Tree closed $94 million in sales.

Clients call Kotkin and Bibuld bulldogs — a reputation built on tenacity and a local’s command of the market. As investors and developers themselves, they bring an expert perspective to negotiations that is hard to replicate. Most of their business stems from one of the largest landlord databases in Massachusetts and a strong referral pipeline.

Off the clock, Red Tree plants two trees for every transaction it closes, with more than 10,000 trees planted to date.
