A 20-year veteran of the real estate industry, Valerie Wastcoat is a seasoned professional with Coldwell Banker Realty. Having lived in Newton her whole life, she decided to explore her love for the city and first take the plunge into real estate in the Metro West before moving to the Newton office. “I grew up in an Italian family in Newton, so I was taught to work hard,” she recalls. “I realized quickly that things were not going to be handed to me, but with hard work and perseverance, I could achieve anything.”
Having worked in local businesses as a teenager, Wastcoat built up a strong set of customer service skills alongside a strong work ethic. That, paired with her natural ability to connect with people, has allowed her to build her successful career from humble beginnings. Her clients appreciate her level of service and say she goes above and beyond to help them. Specializing in listing properties for sale and helping move-up buyers, she is dedicated to helping new and existing residents sell their current houses and find their forever homes, the way her family did.
In the past year, Wastcoat has been working in the luxury market, attending agent events and educating herself to better serve her clients. She was recently honored with membership in the Coldwell Banker International President’s Elite group, an honor reserved for the top 3% of company agents globally. Additionally, she was named a Top Producer by Boston magazine and one of America’s Best Real Estate Agents by RealTrends.
As a mom, Wastcoat does her best to be involved in the lives of her children and their community, always volunteering. Passionate about giving back, she is a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and donates a portion of every real estate transaction.
