When you grow up in the banking business, the pressure to excel in it can be great. However, when you do what you love, it’s worth the hard work. Patty Gabriel found this passion in mortgage lending. Following her first job as a teller at a local bank, she went on to take a part-time role at another local bank’s mortgage department. After getting her first taste of the home financing industry, she knew she couldn’t give up the unlimited learning potential and flexibility of the job. She never looked back.
As a senior loan officer at the Danvers branch of Draper and Kramer Mortgage, Gabriel boasts over 30 years of experience. It’s no surprise that she’s a true expert and has developed the skillsets needed to give her clients the best home financing experience possible. By anticipating their needs and being unafraid to ask the hard questions, she knows how to help her customers make smart investment decisions. “Borrowers don’t all fit the same mold, and they each have different wants and needs,” she says. “It’s my job to find the best possible solution for each client.”
Gabriel sees herself as an educator as well as a mortgage resource for her clients. Staying on top of the ever-changing mortgage market and guidelines is only one reason why Gabriel’s business, which closed over $62 million in loans in 2020, is booming. She also finds it beneficial to be a neighborhood resource. “By staying local, I’m able to build long-term customer relationships, and my clients have easy access to me and the team at all times,” she says.
In the years to come, Gabriel aims to do what she does best: continue serving her clients, establishing new relationships and advising borrowers through the loan process from beginning to end and beyond.
