With their combined experience, strong customer service, and passion for real estate, agents Sarah Mooradian and Phillip MacArthur have excelled this past year as a team. Since joining forces in 2016, the Burbs to Boston Team has helped several long-term clients transition from their current home, initially found using the duo, into their second or third home.

“Sarah exemplifies so many amazing business and personality traits that we mesh very well and provide our clients with unprecedented customer service,” says Phillip MacArthur, of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Warren Residential. Mooradian, of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Warren Residential, is also proud of the partnership they launched this year. “It was incredibly rewarding to see what gains our clients had made based on our advice and negotiating skills,” she says.

With their partnership, Mooradian and MacArthur have been able to serve a broad cross section of clients, including first-time homebuyers, luxury homebuyers, investors, sellers, and luxury home sellers. They have a strong base of experience in working with empty nesters who are selling their larger suburban homes and downsizing into a condo in the city. “We recognize that those clients need more than just a real estate agent to help with a transaction,” Mooradian says. “They need someone with experience who can help them with the entire transition and we thrive on being a great source of information and reliance in those instances.”

MacArthur’s proudest personal accomplishment this year was being elected to the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices REthink Council, which is comprised of 15 millennial agents within the national network.  In 2016, Mooradian’s awards at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices included ranking within the Top 3 Agents in Massachusetts and being awarded Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices highest individual agent honor, the Chairman’s Circle – Platinum Award. The real estate duo’s 2017 accolades continue with them continually ranking in within the Top 3 Teams in Massachusetts.

Before becoming a real estate agent, Mooradian worked at Ernst & Young LLC in in their International Tax group. “Working for one of the ‘Big 4’ gave me a great appreciation for how hard work can pay off and the need to be organized, timely and detail oriented. These are all traits that are essential in my real estate career,” she says.

While real estate now seems like a natural fit for her, she didn’t find her way into it until after she decided to take a yearlong leave of absence to travel to Europe and teach English in Spain and Turkey.

Upon returning to Boston, Mooradian wasn’t ready to go back to her desk job, which didn’t offer her the personal interaction on which she thrived. “I hadn’t given real estate much consideration, but when the opportunity presented itself, I took it on wholeheartedly and found that I truly enjoyed helping clients find their own nook of the city to settle into and call home,” she says.

MacArthur began pursuing a career in real estate as a 19-year-old college sophomore at Suffolk University. Two years later, he had his first listing for $1.75 million in the Seaport District. “As a business student and forward thinker, I just wanted to add something to my resume that would distinguish me from my peers when applying for jobs. After college, however, my interest in real estate turned into my dream job,” he says.

MacArthur is part of the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services REthink Council, the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Presidents Circle and the Caritas Communities Young Leader Council. When he’s not working in real estate, he enjoys golfing, traveling, reading and hanging out on Wingaersheek Beach.

Mooradian loves to hike, travel and attend spin classes at Recycle Studio. “On the personal front, I married my husband in June 2016, and in November of the same year we purchased a condo in the South End, giving us more permanent roots in our favorite neighborhood,” she says. “I always knew I wanted to buy in the South End, and with my drive and determination, I knew I would one day, but to be able to do it with my husband by my side was icing on the cake!”
