Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.

Senior Loan Officer Kevin Kuechler of Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. was once an environmental consultant who managed the investigation of hazardous waste sites. Today, he’s proven most adept at wading through complicated financials to deliver tidy mortgage financing for his borrowers. Ranked among the top 1 percent of mortgage originators for several years by Mortgage Executive Magazine, Kuechler brings 23 years of mortgage industry perspective and 14 years of origination experience to every transaction.

After earning his MBA and serving several Fortune 500 companies over a 10-year strategy consulting career, Kuechler joined the mortgage industry to make a personal impact in people’s lives. “I enjoy working with individuals on immediate, strategic challenges,” he says. “This is where I can make a difference every day.” Kuechler works with a wide variety of borrowers and property types across New England. The majority of his clients are first-time homebuyers, and he especially enjoys working with borrowers with complex financial histories.

Kuechler’s clients and referral network value him for his personalized approach, strategic guidance and encyclopedic industry knowledge. “I am constantly educating myself about new mortgage products and underwriting options,” he says. “This is especially important when working with first-time borrowers who are typically stressing their home finances to squeeze into their first home. I take the time to find options for borrowers that many of my competitors may not even know exist.”

Over the past year, Kuechler’s proudest accomplishment was establishing a presence in his hometown markets of Braintree and Weymouth. He has embarked on several fitness endeavors as well, running his fastest 5K since college, playing competitive soccer and racing a sailboat in a local regatta for the first time in three decades.

Kuechler puts his expert consulting chops to good use in helping his community as well. He chairs the Water Resources Oversight Committee for his town, serves on the local water and sewer board, and is active on the parents auxiliary of the school where his two boys attend.
