A laid-back approach, frequent communication and a network that comes from a lifetime lived in the Marblehead area have helped Ryan DeLisle find success in the Boston real estate business. Two years ago, he left a corporate position to return to his longtime dream of becoming a Realtor. Last year, he was rewarded for his efforts by being named one of the top five in his office of more than 70 agents.
Helping clients find their home and build wealth is what makes DeLisle tick. “I don’t pressure anyone to do anything,” he shares. “I just help them realize what they want and push them to make it happen.” In 2023, he was excited to help make homeownership happen for six first-time buyers. He also loves the creativity and endless possibilities of home design, which rubs off on his clients.
With a background in economics from UMASS, Amherst, DeLisle is able to back up his enthusiasm with the knowledge and confidence to adapt to quick swings in the market. When clients make referrals, they point out his professionalism, strong negotiating skills and commitment to understanding their individual needs, as well as his ability to make the process fun. “I’m a big believer that real estate should be fun,” he says. “There is humor in everything.”
DeLisle’s family has lived in Marblehead since the 1700s, which has made him a local historian of sorts. He created an Instagram account about the area called @OnlyinMHD, which he uses to share town information. “It continues to play a big role in my real estate success,” he says. Social media makes up a good portion of his business, along with referrals, open houses and other marketing.
Away from the office, DeLisle enjoys traveling and has set the goal of visiting all 50 states by the age of 50. He is currently on 39.
