Originally from Albania, Ilya Cobi moved to the U.S. in 2001. “I soon realized that home ownership was part of the American dream,” he shares. “With experience in sales and customer service, I decided to help people have an extraordinary experience in real estate.” He has now been in the industry 18 years and is team lead of the Cobi RE Team, made up of eight professionals, at William Raveis Real Estate.

Investing heavily in technology, the Cobi RE Team was able to create a safe environment for clients during the pandemic by marketing and communicating through social media and digital technology. “It was very challenging during COVID and we had to continue conducting business while keeping our clients’ safety our No. 1 priority,” Cobi explains. “We actually served twice as many people, grew our business by 100% and achieved many success stories.” Noting that their process helps them stand out from other agencies, the Cobi RE Team members specialize in specific areas of the business while also speaking at least three languages.

A member of the National Association of Realtors, Greater Boston Real Estate Board and Massachusetts Association of Realtors, Cobi was listed as No. 8 in Massachusetts for 2021 in unit sales at William Raveis Real Estate. He and was named as one of the top 3% individuals companywide, reached platinum status for 2021, made the 2019-20 Chairman’s Elite Club, was named Boston’s 5-Star Agent in 2015 and 2016 and made The Boston Globe’s list of top 1% real estate agents in the city.

Cobi believes clients appreciate his knowledge and experience. “They enjoy our professional environment and ultimate privacy when discussing their most valuable asset,” he insists. When not working, he enjoys reading, gardening, running, soccer, dancing and traveling.
