GID Residential Partners entered the Boston market under the leadership of Chris Spendley, who joined the company as managing director.

Spendley previously worked at the Quarterra Group’s Boston office.

GID Residential Partners’ parent firm, GID, owns or manages $32.8 billion in assets including over 57,000 apartments and 28 million square feet of industrial and commercial space across the U.S. The firm cited increased demand and a tight market as the driver behind their Boston expansion.

“Scaling in Boston aligns with our strategy of growing in markets supported by strong economic drivers and long-term residential demand,” said GID Development President John Gagnier in a press release. “Chris brings the local experience and development experience needed to help develop the platform thoughtfully and strategically.”
