Residents have moved into the BPDA’s first completed office-to-residential conversion project at 281 Franklin St.
The project was the first to use the city’s Downtown Residential Conversion Incentive Program, which encourages developers to convert office buildings into residences. Boston Pinnacle Properties received approval for the redevelopment in March 2024.
The development transformed retail and office spaces into 10 studio units and five one-bedroom units above a ground-floor restaurant. Three of the units are income restricted.
